Road Safety
The roads around the school get very congested at peak times, particularly in Horntye Road and Amherst Road and we ask you to respect the residents living here
If you use a car to bring your child to school or to pick him/her up at the end of the day, please park away from the school and walk to the gate.
Please consider the safety of all St Paul’s children when using your car in the area of the School. Police regularly monitor parking.
Parents are not permitted to park in the staff car park at any time.
We anticipate that most children will be encouraged to walk or cycle to school with their parents. Storage for cycles is provided during the day, bikes can not be kept on school premises overnight. Year 6 pupils will be permitted to travel to school alone on a bike if they have passed their Bikeabilty Test (and of course with parental permission). However, they must wear a cycling helmet or they will not be permitted to leave the school premises. All cyclists should dismount at the school gate. Bikeabilty classes for pupils in Year 6 are arranged during the school year.
