QUALIFIED NURSERY PRACTITIONER

 

St Paul's CE Academy are looking to recruit a Qualified Nursery Practitioner Level 2/3 to join our friendly team in our modern purpose built nursery. This position is Monday-Friday 9am-3pm, term time only starting with immediate effect.

Previous experience working in a nursery is desirable and it would be beneficial to have experience of being a key-person to a group of children as well as working as part of a busy nursery environment. However we would welcome applications from college students reaching the end of their childcare course.

A good level of competency using ICT skills and equipment including an iPad is required for this post, as well as a sound knowledge of the updated EYFS 2024. Please note this role includes some paid staff meetings after working hours. 

Our nursery is open plan and has a focus on teaching our 2-4 year olds in open-ended curious ways, which develop their resilience and builds their confidence. We encourage children to be free to explore in all things messy as we believe children learn best when they are having fun. 

The role is for 30 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year), Monday - Friday, 9.00a.m. - 3.00p.m. You will be paid on the Single Status pay scale, Grade 3, sp7 £24,027 pro rata, per annum (actual salary £16,756 per annum).

We have a vacancy available for a Teaching Assistant/MDSA (qualified or training towards a supporting teaching and learning qualification) to join our popular, inclusive Church academy fixed term contract starting immediately until 31 August 2025.

 

The successful candidate will be joining a strong team supporting learning. You should be a passionate individual who is motivated to work both within the classroom and independently (1:1 and with small groups) to allow our pupils to fulfil their potential.  In return we can offer you strong training opportunities working within a friendly and supportive learning environment.

 

You will also be expected to take on the position of a MDSA to cover the lunchtime period.

 

The TA2 position is for 15 hours per week, term time only, Monday - Friday, 9.00a.m. - 12.00p.m.You will be paid on the Single Status pay scale (Grade 3 £22,737 pro rata, per annum).

 

The MDSA position is for 5 hours per week, term time only, Monday - Friday, 12.00p.m. - 1.00p.m.You will be paid on the Single Status pay scale (Grade 2 £22,366 pro rata, per annum).
